Professional Wine Tasting
A unique experience for real wine lovers. A fascinating professional tasting with our team, our winemaker, where you will be exposed to the behind-the-scenes of the winemaking process, and have the opportunity to learn everything you always wanted to know (about winemaking).
Founded in 1978 by a small group of people from around the country. The Kibbutz moved to its permanent location on May 1978 with a construction team building their own houses on a hill overlooking Tel Shifon.
There are some 70 families living in Ortal, most of them kibbutz members and the rest are candidates for membership.
The kibbutz makes its living from agriculture, growing mostly apples, nectarines, cherries etc. and also has a large vineyard for the Golan Heights winery.
There is also a B&B in Ortal that offers holiday accommodation of different sizes from a romantic hut to a rustic Zimmer.
